Photoeye Mounting Solutions
Enclosure and mounting post, not two posts
Two purpose-built mounting options that shield EMX sensors from environmental and mechanical damage — each with a clean, professional finish.
EMX offers two high-quality mounting options for photoeyes: PhotoeyeVault (a closed enclosure; sensors mount inside) and 325-POST-2 (an open mounting post; sensors mount on the outside). They are not the same product type.
Enclosure · Sensors inside
PhotoeyeVault
Best for
High-end, visible areas where design and protection go together. Not for MRD-1P.
Mounting post · Sensors outside
325-POST-2
Best for
Utility-focused installs where speed, flexibility, and cost matter most. The mount for MRD-1P.

Product Overviews
A closer look at the enclosure and the mounting post — benefits and full specifications.
PhotoeyeVault
A closed steel enclosure for EMX photoeyes. Sensors mount inside. It is not a mounting post, and it is not compatible with MRD-1P.
Key Benefits
- Secure enclosure shields photoeyes from vandalism, weather, and impact.
- Two-piece design (front & rear vault) with quick 8-screw assembly.
- Internal mounting patterns for IRB-RET-2, IRB-MON-2, IRB-4X-2, and IRB-325.
- Adjustable mounting via slotted base plate.
- Blends into architectural environments.

325-POST-2
An open square mounting post. Sensors mount on the outside. It is not an enclosure. Compatible with EMX photoeyes plus the MRD-1P radar sensor.
Key Benefits
- Pre-indented drill points — no measuring or templates required.
- The mount for MRD-1P. PhotoeyeVault cannot take that sensor.
- Template-based drilling layout for field ease (see template diagram on page 3).
- Weighs just 11 lbs for easier handling.

Choose Your Fit
Match the enclosure or the mounting post to the job.
Enclosure · High-visibility installs
PhotoeyeVault
Choose PhotoeyeVault when the photoeye should sit inside a closed enclosure. Not compatible with MRD-1P.
Mounting post · Utility installs
325-POST-2
Go with the 325-POST-2 when sensors mount on the outside of an open post. This is the mount for MRD-1P.
Compatible Photoeyes & Sensors
Both products support the core EMX photoeye lineup. MRD-1P is 325-POST-2 only, not PhotoeyeVault.
325-POST-2 additionally supports
*All photoeyes and sensors sold separately. MRD-1P is not compatible with PhotoeyeVault.
