Position Summary:

EMX Industries is seeking a self-motivated and high achieving Outside Sales professional that will have the primary responsibility of driving growth for the company by selling and specifying our photo eyes, vehicle detection sensors, RFID readers and other access control accessories to OEM manufacturers, and distributors in the access control industry. The Outside Sales professional will be a part of the sales team at EMX Industries that will work to execute the strategic sales plan for the company. 


Responsibilities:

  • Sales Territory: California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montanna, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico
  • Travel to key accounts on a consistent basis. Domestic Travel expectations of 60%
  • Conduct basic training of EMX products to small groups of Dealer/Installers and Distributor Branch Locations.
  • Grow sales revenue of assigned accounts or territories in line with the company’s strategic sales plan.
  • All aspects of technical sales to pre-existing and new customers including identifying, managing, and closing growth opportunities to achieve sales goals.
  • Establishing and maintaining positive customer relations and brand recognition through product training, demonstrations, site visits, customer events and industry trade shows.
  • Generate and follow-up on leads to fulfill the sales pipeline.
  • Identify the best market opportunities and technical requirements for new product development.
  • In coordination with Inside Sales, manage communication between key accounts and the appropriate personnel inside EMX.
  • Enter timely call reports of customer visits and correspondence in CRM.

 

 

Job Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of Technical Sales Experience selling gate automation installers, overhead door installers, and/or access control systems installers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or other technical degree is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills – written and verbal.
  • Strong computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word and CRM databases.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Excellent organization skills and the ability to multitask.

  • Competitive base salary with commission paid based on sales growth

This person will be responsible for circuit board assembly in the plated through-hole department. This is an essential process in the manufacturing and assembly of most electronic sensors manufactured by EMX Industries. This is an entry-level position with no prior experience necessary. The highest performing employees in this area could have an opportunity to learn higher-level electronic assembly and basic soldering skills. 

Responsibilities:

  • Follow written and verbal instructions in the assembly of electronic sensors
  • Assemble electronic circuit boards in the plated through hole department
  • Identify electronic through-hole components
  • Run simple component preparation machines
  • Use hand tools required for the job

Job Skills & Qualifications:

  • No previous electronics assembly experience required
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills 
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to focus on detail-oriented work
  • Must be willing to learn new skills

This is an essential process in the manufacturing and assembly of most electronic sensors manufactured by EMX Industries. This is a mid-level position with hand soldering experience required. The highest performing employees in this area could have an opportunity to learn higher-level electronic testing skills and how to operate automated surface mount machinery.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow written and verbal instructions in the assembly of electronic sensors
  • Hand soldering
  • Identify electronic through-hole components
  • Run simple component preparation machines
  • Use power hand tools required for the job

Job Skills & Qualifications:
